Welcome to First Step Day Nursery
We are a spacious and homely 91-place day nursery caring and catering for children aged 3 months to 5 years old.
Through carefully planned activities and fun play your child will be able to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively at First Step Day Nursery, giving them the best start in life.
Our practices and policies are guided by the principles and requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. This helps us to value the individuality of each and every child that comes through our doors. We pay close attention to the developmental stages of your child and provide for them accordingly to build on their knowledge and skills.
We work in close partnership with parents and carers for a tailored plan taking into account your child’s interests and skills, because you know your child best.
Our vision at First Step Day Nursery is to provide an educationally stimulating and encouraging environment in which all children are valued as individuals. We aim to support your child emotionally, physically and educationally to ensure that they are able to reach their full potential.
Our curriculum is carefully designed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with professionals teaching and supporting your child to make sure that activities are developed and suited to their unique interests and needs.
We are open from 8am - 6pm, Monday - Friday, at least 50 weeks per year.
We offer free 15 and 30 funded hours during term times (38 weeks per year).
